Jurnal Manajemen dan Inovasi Kewirausahaan (JMIK) is committed to maintaining the integrity of academic publishing by ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are free from plagiarism and other forms of unethical research practices. As part of our ethical publishing standards, we implement a strict plagiarism screening process to uphold the originality of the work published in our journal.

1. Plagiarism Detection Process

  • Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism detection using advanced plagiarism-checking software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate). This ensures that the content is original and properly cited.
  • Similarity Index: We consider a manuscript to be at risk of plagiarism if the similarity index is above 20%. Any work with a higher percentage of similarity will be reviewed carefully by the editorial team.
  • Manual Review: If the software detects high similarity or potential plagiarism, the manuscript will undergo a manual review by the editorial team to evaluate the extent of the issue. We will compare the manuscript with the identified sources to determine if any sections are improperly copied or inadequately cited.

2. Consequences of Plagiarism

  • Minor Cases: If the plagiarism is minor and can be attributed to improper citation or referencing, the authors will be given an opportunity to revise the manuscript and properly cite the original sources.
  • Major Cases: If the plagiarism is substantial or involves intentional misconduct, the manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the authors will be banned from submitting to JMIK in the future. The editorial board will also report the case to the relevant academic or institutional authorities, if necessary.

3. Author Responsibility

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that all content submitted to JMIK is original and that proper credit is given to all sources through accurate citations and references.
  • Any use of third-party content, including data, images, or direct quotes, must be appropriately attributed.
  • Authors should also disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to their manuscript.

4. Retraction of Articles

  • If plagiarism is discovered after publication, JMIK will retract the article from the journal and publish an official statement regarding the retraction. The article will be removed from the journal's website, and the retraction will be communicated to the academic community.

5. Ethical Standards

  • JMIK follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and maintains a strict commitment to publishing only ethical and original research. We strive to maintain the highest academic and professional standards in all published content.
